Google+ has radically changed the story ordering in my stream.

Google+ has radically changed the story ordering in my stream.

I can’t fathom from my tiny sample size what the underlying change in logic is, but I’ll tell you this: I did nothing other than log in ~12 hours after the last time I logged in and what I experienced was confusing and frustrating.

I know it’ll just be a few days until this normal is the new normal, and I’ll have forgotten what it was I liked so much more about the old way my stream behaved.  I know this because it’s happened before, and I’m certain it’ll happen again.

It sucks, sometimes, having the fact that you’re a captive shoved down your throat.  Then again, I guess I always have the option of not using G+… I guess I’ll take the grownup route and sigh and keep trying to remember that they know better than I do what I want to see when I open up “my” stream.

  1. I’m not aware of a “quality” push… but they can frequently sneak those past me.  At least, up until something goes horribly wrong.

Can you describe what feels different about it?

  2. If you view individual circles, it puts the posts in chronological order. You can make an “everyone” circle then view that and get in the correct order. My bookmark goes to the everyone circle now instead of the default page.
