Good premise but awful execution. What happens at :52 on the strokes tune is standard fare for countless pop songs. Bass hangs out for the first verse, then starts to move the song along after that. Fundamentals. These “moments” are less than subtle, they don’t exist.
Yeah, I agree with you. I mostly shared it out of reader so I’d remember to take a listen, but stopped caring pretty quickly once I checked out the first couple.
