Hungover Owls has heen a mostly-excellent semi-regular presence in my Reader lineup for a while now. It looks like the author is calling it quits on the 500th post, which I think is really classy. These things can go on forever, usually for the worse, and it takes style to tie it off and declare the party over.
To quote the last bit of the final Hungover Owls post:
“If any one of these guys helped you deal with the physical and emotional fallout from that last theme party in any way, please consider dropping five bucks into the owl charity of your choice. Mine would be the World Owl Trust.”
Jennifer Jurney and I disagree on The Pluto Situation, but seriously this is both cute and sad.
I just made my first campaign contribution of the 2012 presidential cycle because the Mitt Romney campaign called me at home. I’ll make a contribution to the Barack Obama campaign every time that happens until the election is over.
Sometimes you see someone’s perspective on a thing and you think to yourself something like “All the hundreds of times I saw that thing, why didn’t I ever think to look at it like this?”
