This is absolutely amazing.  They describe and show examples of a technique for making long videos into smooth, watchable timelapses with no camera shake or other distractions.  The climbing video in particular is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before, and really gives the impression of the experience of being on the climb.  Very, very cool.

I am finding fatherhood to be enormously rewarding.

We all went out to a once-again-in-operation drive-in movie theater in Wellfleet, MA.  We had a really fantastic time, but I was particularly delighted by the “don’t blame us if you split your head open, kid” playground equipment.

Somehow I’d never encountered this explanation of the mental trick to resolving C type expressions.  It’s blowing my mind right now.

The basic idea is that, due to the way that C’s declaration/expression syntax is put together, you can resolve any unknown element in that expression by resolving elements in a clockwise spiral.  Very neat!
