Wild Brooklynites appear!
About 5 minutes ago I dropped a lure on the Pokestop across the street from my apartment. There are now three Pokemon trainers standing around, talking, and laughing with each other.
Hate all you want, people. Pokemon Go is a force for good in America right now.
So are you going to mug them now?

I would totally mug them.

with ingress v2 we’re finally post-racial. 🙂
(just kidding)
but two serious points.
1. you should go across the street an introduce yourself. less creepy than taking pictures from behind the curtains. 🙂
2. what’s the legit purpose of lures in ingress v2? it seems like it was designed with muggings in mind.

1. I was in the middle of making dinner, and by the time the burners were off they were gone. Not that I think anyone’s particularly interested in meeting the 40-year-old weirdo from across the street, though.
2. A lure on a pokestop makes it more likely that pokemon will appear near it, so has the additional effect of concentrating people playing the game.

Mike Jurney Well, that’s why you don’t “meet” them, you mug them. That is the traditional way to greet visitors from other neighborhoods.
