I’ve got a problem with squirrels. I planted a nice planter full of carefully separated and mixed Thai chile seeds, but I only have three surviving sprouts because squirrels have dug up all the rest.

So I took the large fistful of chiles i had left, and used the (non-serrated) dough blade in my food processor to turn them into a frankly terrifying capsaicin slurry.

I re-planted using this slurry, and am very curious to see how many squirrels come back for seconds.

  1. They give my Ghost Peppers a go too. I start them indoors, so I mean, they go for the peppers itself. Of course the peppers end up half eaten cause they probably can’t take it. So, yeah I hear you man.
