I just had a very strange and lovely experience. Netflix surfaced World of Tomorrow for me as a recommendation, and I decided to give it a look.
It’s strange, and beautiful, and sad, and sweet, and more. It’s a totally incredibly unexpected bit of amazing from Don Hertzfeldt, who I only knew from The Rejected (a.k.a. “My Spoon is Too Big”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSb-nV8l2QY).
Every year I forget how much I love it when the Academy nominates for Best Animated Short Film, but I think this one will stick with me.
