Heather Kaye Thank you for reminding me of this article! I grew up around boys, for the most part (though my brothers Patrick Jurney and Kyle Jurney are a lot younger than I am), and reading this really cast a new light on how I thought about dealing with children of all genders.

Mike Jurney – yeah, now when we see a cute little girl, instead of saying “Oh you’re so adorable!” we say something like “Wow! You are so good at math!” (I think Adam Berson made that up).
